SHOKEI GAKUIN UNIVERSITY

Message from President

To a university equipping students with the ability to survive in a future world

Michiko Suzuki

President of
Shokei Gakuin University

We have seen frequent major disasters in Japan and abroad, including the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. Since 2020, the covid-19 virus has spread throughout the world. Meanwhile, there is constant warfare around the globe. With the growth of our digital society, one can truly feel how we are becoming closer to countries and people around the world.

What kind of skills will people, especially young people, need to survive in the coming 100 years? Of course, it is important to acquire knowledge and skills that are useful now. At the same time, it is also important to think about the concrete measures necessary to improve our current world and society, and sustain it into the future. Also, it is important to learn from our history, the words and achievements of our predecessors, and to use it as means for our own growth and development.

Shokei Gakuin University promotes learning to acquire wide-ranging understanding, to deepen one's humanity, and to acquire problem-solving skills for living in the current times. As part of this, we are also actively involved in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) promoted by the United Nations.

The future of the world depends on you.

The faculty and staff all look forward to your passion and mission.
