Results of 2017 Institutional Evaluation and Accreditation for Universities by Japan Institution for Higher Education Evaluation

Since April 1, 2004, to contribute to raising the standard of universities’ education and research, all universities have been required by law to undergo an evaluation conducted by an accreditation and evaluation organization certified by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology once every period stipulated by government ordinance (within seven years). The areas covered by these comprehensive evaluations include the institution’s education and research, organizational management, and facilities and equipment. (School Education Act, Article 109, Paragraph 2)

SHOKEI GAKUIN UNIVERSITY underwent institutional evaluation and accreditation for universities by the Japan Institution for Higher Education Evaluation in AY2017. On March 7, 2018, it was evaluated as “meeting the university evaluation criteria stipulated by the Japan Institution for Higher Education Evaluation” and was accredited. The period of accreditation is seven (7) years from 2017 to 2024.
